Control Valves and Industry

By Comfort Ajibola

· Industry

Control valves are process control valves which are used as a part of control loops to regulate, monitor and control the flow of process fluids.

As the name implies, these devices control pressure drops in the process line by controlling gas volumes going in or out.

The most common types of valves, globe valves, butterfly valves and rotary valves are used in a variety of applications including water treatment systems, process heating systems and oil refining processes.

They play a critical role. They usually operate by following a command signal.

Control valves also guard against unwanted changes in operating conditions such as pressure trend, temperature and composition.

The market for control valves is large, complex and diverse: more than 350 manufacturers offer an extensive range of products from small diaphragm-operated valves on small installations up to huge gate systems installed at chemical plants.

At CenturyVal, we provide highly engineered valves and systems, serving liquid air and gas, for the chemical, pharmaceutical, water and wastewater, and general industrial markets.
