    E30 / E40 / E50 / E60 / E70 / E80 Series

    High-pressure-dropservice causes cavitation, flashing, noise and vibration (referred to as Severe Service), significantly shortening valve life and endangering plant safety. CenturyVal's E30–E80 trims use special single-stage/multi-stage pressure reduction and velocity control to prevent local pressure dropping below vapor pressure, mitigating cavitation and suppressing noise. When necessary, a restriction orifice plate can be added in series to share remaining pressure drop, forming a complete severe service solution.

  • Features

    • The range includes sixtrims covering single-stage/multi-stage pressure reduction, cage-guided low-flow, anti-rotation and V-port plugs;
    • The multi-hole structurecontrols noise by dividing high-velocity streams into small jets that expand and drop pressure stage by stage, avoiding large pressure drops at the vena contracta;
    • Multi-stage pressurereduction makes flow passage pressure more uniform, reducing the risk of local pressure falling below vapor pressure, while residual cavitation energy is confined to the flow field center to protect the plug and seat from erosion;
    • Trim type and stage countare selected using cavitation index σ and pressure ratio P1/P2, with a sizing calculation sheet issued for each service;
    • The top-entry design allowstrim removal without removing the valve body, and is interchangeable with E10/E20 series to facilitate in-service upgrades and reduce spare parts costs;
    • Materials include20Cr13/HT, 316/STL, Monel, etc.; sealing surfaces can be Stellite-hardfaced; extended bonnet is available for –196 °C cryogenic service; bellows seal is optional for low fugitive requirements.

  • E30 Single-Stage Multi-Hole Cage

    • Cage‑guided, balanced plug, suitable for lower‑thrust actuators;
    • Single‑stage multi‑holepressure‑reducingflow path, anti‑cavitationand noise reduction;
    • Nominalsizes DN25 and above;
    • Top-entry design; trim can be removed for maintenance without removing the valve body;
    • Typical applications: medium pressure drop gas, liquidand steam pressure reduction, venting, etc.

    E40 Multi-Stage Multi-Hole Cage

    • Cage-guided, balanced plug; stable operation;
    • Multi-stage multi-hole pressure-reducing flow path – distributes ΔP gradually, significant noise reduction;
    • Suitable for high pressure ratios or noise-exceeding services;
    • Interchangeable with E20 series bodies – facilitates in‑service valve upgrades;
    • Typical applications: high pressure drop gas and liquid pressure reduction, venting, etc.

  • E50 Cage-Guided Regulating Trim

    • Regulating trim; maintains control characteristics even at small openings;
    • Preferred for low-flow services; custom trims can achieve high rangeability up to 100:1;
    • Sealing surfaces can be Stellite-hardfaced to improve erosion resistance; for trims below DN15, full Stellite material is used;
    • Compact design, fits standard E10 series bodies;
    • Typical applications: services requiring precise control at small openings.

    E60 V-Port Plug

    • V-Port design; port area increases nonlinearly with opening;
    • Dual guiding effectively reduces plug vibration;
    • Highly adaptable to gas-liquid two-phase flow; effectively disperses high-velocity jets, reducing cavitation and flashing damage;
    • Typical applications: gas-liquid two-phase flow and liquid throttling services.

  • E70 Anti-Rotation Multi-Stage Pressure-Reducing Trim (Compressor Recycle)

    • Cage-guided, balanced plug; multi-stage multi-hole pressure-reducing flow path
    • Anti-rotation design – prevents seal face wear and abnormal operation due to plug rotation;
    • Staged pressure reduction – piecewise linear flow characteristic, stable regulation over full stroke;
    • Can be combined with a restriction orifice plate - further reduce recycle-service noise;
    • Meets the demanding requirements of compressor recycle valves: fast stroking, high pressure drop, large flow;
    • Typical applications: compressor/booster recycle valves, anti-surge control valves, etc.

    • Single-stage multi-hole cage pressure reduction effectively lowers noise;
    • Combined V-Port plug, good regulation characteristics and wide rangeability;
    • Minimum trim size DN15, covering small-size high-ΔP services;
    • Cage-guided, smooth operation, compact design;
    • Typical applications: small-size, high pressure drop gas and liquid control, etc.
