What is an Air Seperation Unit (ASU)?

By Julia Zhu

· Industry

An air separation unit (ASU) separates atmospheric air into its primary components, typically nitrogen (78.1%) and oxygen (20.9%), and sometimes also argon (.9%) and other rare inert gases. Cryogenic air separation units (ASUs) are built to provide nitrogen or oxygen and often co-produce argon. Cryogenic air separation utilizes the differing condensing/boiling points of the components of air to enable separation by distillation at cryogenic temperatures. The method is widely used in the food and beverage industries as well as for medical gas supply applications.

CenturyVal is one of the most experienced manufacturers of air separation units in China. CenturyVal provides cryogenic pump and valve products for air separation, air compression, molecular sieve adsorption, and air distillation (cold box). We also provide corresponding transportation and technical services.
