What is Top-Guided Control Valve?

By Comfort Ajibola

· Products

The top-guided control valve has a simple and reliable structure design and can be used for adjustment and cut-off control of various liquid and gas mediums. As a result, it is one of the most popular products in China.

The top guided control valve has the following characteristics:

1) Simple structure design, easy to install or replace;

2) Fully enclosed structure, no leakage;

3) High accuracy, low repeatability;

4) Wide variety of designs available, suitable for different mediums;

5) Mechanical sealing technology, liquid tightness guaranteed.

It consists of the valve body, stem, guide ring, seat ring, gasket, packing and other parts. The valve body is made by casting or forging and it has a flange on one end for joining with other pipe systems.

The stem is mounted in the valve body with a sealing face at the bottom. It is mainly used for opening or closing the medium flow path inside the valve. The guide ring is installed on the top of the stem to support its movement up and down.

It also provides a space between itself and the seat ring for accommodating the medium during the opening or closing processes.

The seat ring forms an annular space between itself and the guide ring to accommodate the medium through which pressure acts when the opening or closing process takes place; it also helps in adjusting the up or down movement of the stem by means of adjusting the screw.

The gasket is installed on an annular space between the seat ring and the guide ring; it prevents leakage from occurring during the operation process by providing a sealing effect between them when they are pressed against each other due to high pressure inside the vessel pipe system during the operation process.
